A divine blend of 4 of our favourite red grapes for our Amphora Red #2!
With the popularity of the first Amphora Red, this new release expected in September 2025 hails the Amphora Red #2! An intriguing and delicious blend of 4 amazing varieties; Saperavi, the red grape native to Georgia bordering South Western Russia. Amphora have been found in Georgia dating back to 8000BC! It is a wonderful full bodied red with lashings of dark cherry flavours. Aglianico, a red grape variety native to the south of Italy in Campania and Basilicata. A highly prized Italian variety that displays a mixture of red fruits and earthy characters as well as sweet spices. Touriga Nacional, for those of you who know us know how much we adore Touriga Nacional. A native grape to Portugal and considered their highest quality red wine grape. Intense and complex flavours of blue and black fruits, sweet spices and florals, amazing! And last, but definitely not least, Shiraz. The champion grape variety of the Barossa that needs no introduction. Plums and blueberries, with spices and florals, a stunning old vine parcel with dense but fine, elegant tannins. This Amphora is set to be something very special and a world first blend of some of our favourite varieties. that appeals to everyone. The Amphora makes wines that are dense but silky smooth due to the slow ingress of air into the wine overtime. The longer a wine stays in an Amphora the softer and smoother it becomes. This release will see a wine with lashings of complex and delicious flavours with a silky-smooth finish.
